C9 - Jane's Tears was made in honor of my sweet Emerson who crossed over to Rainbow Bridge on Jan 17, 2000. He was my loving furbaby for 13 years.

Wednesday 1-19-00. It's been 2 days since Emerson was sent on his way to heaven. Grief has overwhelmed me tonight. I miss him so much. This block will be done in his memory. 4 teardrops. Looking back at my DJ Journal I realize that Emerson was diagnosed 8-18-99 with abdominal cancer. He made it to 1-17-00. Five months. Long months but each day cherished. A part of me is relieved that he's no longer in pain. The pain I feel is tremendous. I know with each passing day that my heart will heal. But tonight I will allow my heart to express the grief I have bottled up inside.

2-6-00. I finally got the fabric and templates ready to stitch this one. The block turned out cute. I appliqued the 4 tears during the All-Star Hockey game. The block is made in memory of Emerson. He was my All-Star <G> I miss him so much. I have 2 rolls of film developed and have some great pictures of him in his different characters. He was a good kitty. I miss my snuggle butt.

2-17-00. I had a vision of Jesus carrying Emerson and taking him to Rainbow Bridge. He is sitting in the green fields with lots of flowers and butterflies watching the beautiful scenery. He's no longer in pain and he is the picture of perfect health. My heart rejoices that he's in a good place.
